Ariel Gail

Prof. Gail S. Goodman teaches psychology at the University of California Davis. She also serves as the Director of the Center for Public Policy Research. She is widely credited with initiating the contemporary scientific study of children's eyewitness memory and child victimes as witness in legal contexts. Professor Goodman has published widely she has received grants from numerous sources and received several international and national awards. She has worked with a variety of government agencies and institutions around the globe on policy and research relating to child victimized by the justice system. She serves as a consultant to the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center (formerly known as Multidisciplinary Interview Center - of Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She is also a fellow of the Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association, (Divisions Experimental Psychology Developmental Psychology Society for Children and Families Policy and Practice American Psychology Law Society Psychology of Women and Traumatic Stress 56). Professor Goodman is a member of the Psychonomics Society Society for Research in Child Development American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children (Founding member) International Society for the prevention of child abuse and Neglect and the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. She has served as president of three divisions (Division Society for Child and Family Policy and Practice Division American Psychology-Law Society as well as Division Developmental Psychology) and one Section (Child Maltreatment) of the American Psychological Association.
